30-Day Watch Return Policy

All of our Watches, Straps and accessories come brand new from the manufacturer. This means you get the full benefit of the manufacturer's warranty. Each watch we sell is equipped with a tag that says "Not Returnable if Removed", so before you wear your watch, please make sure it is what you ordered and that it is absent of any Out of Box defects. Also, please make sure the watch is to your liking. Once you remove the tag, wear or modify your watch, it is not returnable and is solely subject to the warranties provided by the manufacturers. If you find that there is something wrong with your timepiece or it does not meet your expectations. After completely reading this policy, you can obtain an RMA number by creating a Case with our customer service team by going to this Link or by faxing us at (810)629-7951 and we will give you an RMA number. Our return policy follows:

  • ALL customers wishing to return their purchases must first obtain a return merchandise authorization (RMA) number.  A request for an RMA# must be made within 10 days of order shipment and be returned back to us no later than 15 days after the item had been delivered to you. . There is an extension to this return period during Dec 1 through Dec 31st (see site for details).for Holiday Gift giving reasons. If a package arrives without the RMA# and/or your signature is not visible on the outside, it will be refused by our receiving department.
  • Freight charges for all non-defective returns will be the responsibility of the customer Original shipping charges are non-refundable.
  • All returns must still have the "Not Returnable if Removed Tag" affixed as it was when shipped. It must not be worn, used, sized (by anyone other than Sawyer Jewelers) or altered in any way.  Watches showing any sign of wear cannot be returned.  If they do show wear, they will be returned immediately at the customer's expense and no refund will be granted.
  • Special orders cannot be returned unless they are found to be defective. Special orders are marked as such.
  • All returns must have non-damaged packaging (preferably unopened) and be in resalable condition, containing all original contents (Instruction manuals, Warranty Cards, Watch Tags, Removed Links, etc.) otherwise, a maximum of a 20% restocking fee will apply as we will have to repurchase manuals from Citizens.
  • If the watch is worn, visibly used or the tag is removed, you cannot return the watch. You are, however, fully protected under the warranty and must work with the manufacturer to obtain either a replacement or a repair. Citizens has always stood behind their warranty and issues a 5 year manufactures defect.  this does include the solar panel.

 

For timepieces purchased in the United States, from CITIZEN Authorized Dealers in the United States, we offer a 5 Year Limited Warranty. Citizen Watch Company warrants their watches to be free of defects in material and workmanship and to meet the timekeeping accuracy specification in the instructions for a period of five years from the date of purchase.

If your Citizen watch exhibits a defect through normal use, Citizen, will at its option, either regulate, adjust, repair or replace the movement, as necessary within a reasonable time after the watch is returned during the warranty period,

  • A) if in person, to the nearest United States Service Center (listed on pages 18–19 in the warranty booklet) or,
  • B) by insured mail or other insured carrier to the US Service Headquarters in Torrance.  1000 West 190th Street, Torrance, CA 90502-1040

When submitting your timepiece for warranty consideration, be sure to include the completed warranty coupon found in the back of your warranty booklet with your repair. Please note, blank or incomplete warranty coupons cannot be accepted as documentation of your purchase.

The retailer from whom your watch was purchased may have completed the information for you. If not, it will be necessary for you to complete the coupon. Sawyers does not do this for you and it is advised to do so immediately upon receiving your timepiece from us.  The most important areas to be completed are the Case Number, Serial Number and Date Of Purchase.
As a condition to any warranty service obligation, the Warranty Card with all the Case and Serial numbers as well as the date of purchase filled in by the United States Retailer from whom the watch was purchased must accompany the watch when presented for warranty service. At Sawyers we keep good records of your purchase with us and can provide you with receipt information if necessary.

THIS WARRANTY DOES NOT COVER

Damage, accidental or otherwise, to the watch while in the possession of a consumer not caused by a defect in material or workmanship.

Damage caused by consumer misuse, tampering with or failure to follow the care and special handling provisions in the Instructions.

Damage to the finish of the case, crystal, bracelet, strap or other appearance parts caused by wear.

Moisture damage to a watch not marked "water resistant" on the case back.

Damage caused by the consumer's failure to have the watch serviced at the consumer's expense in accordance with the following schedule of regular maintenance:

Power cells must be replaced immediately when power is lost.

Water resistant watches should be tested and resealed every three years or whenever the battery is replaced, whichever comes first.

Damage caused by repairs or alterations of the watch by anyone other than one of the Worldwide Service center listed in your warranty booklet. Sawyer Jewelers works directly with an authorized repair center.

ALL IMPLIED WARRANTIES, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY ARE LIMITED TO THE FIVE (5) YEAR DURATION OF THIS EXPRESS LIMITED WARRANTY. COA DISCLAIMS ANY LIABILITY FOR ANY CONSEQUENTIAL OR INCIDENTAL DAMAGES AND IN NO EVENT SHALL COA'S LIABILITY EXCEED THE RETAIL VALUE OF THE WATCH FOR BREACH OF ANY WRITTEN OR IMPLIED WARRANTY WITH RESPECT TO THIS WATCH.

Some states do not allow (a) limitations on the duration of any implied warranty and/or (b) the exclusion of limitation of incidental or consequential damages, so the above limitations and/or exclusions may not apply to you.
